  • Relative Value Application. Development of a SQL Server database with an Excel Add-in to download HY Index Constituent data (including Yield and Spread Analysis data) and associated CDSs from Bloomberg to show potentila arbitrage opportunities and graph risk breakdown of equity funds.

Assistant Vice President working in the Global Credit Trading, Rapid Application Development team, delivering solutions for the ABS, Correlation and Exotics trading desks. Recent developments include:

  • Index Skewing application providing Correlation Risk measures to the Correlation traders for off-the-run indices.
  • Alignment of London & New York ABS application landscape to improve the World-wide offering to the trades and find synergies between the desks & applications.
  • Development of the RWA Desktop Tool empowering Asset-Backed & Residential Mortgage-Backed Security (ABS & RMBS) traders together with Corporate Risk teams to calculate Risk Weighted Asset exposure (Basel III requirement) at desk, business and organisation level.
  • Key stakeholder in the delivery of a Risk & P&L migration to strategic systems project including providing the ability, for the first-time, to calculate and report Buy/Sell cash.
  • Improved cash-flow modelling of 'Reverse' Total Return Swaps for the Financial Control team to reduce the number of daily adjustments required.

  • The Application owner for all four London, ABS applications covering trading, CDO investor reporting and risk & P&L reporting.

  • Secondary developer for a number of other applications for Correlation, Loans & Longevity products.
  • Key developer of a Bloomberg, C# Web Service as used by all of the London ABS businessses. This included reviewing the various documentation from Bloomberg to help decide on the technology to use.
  • Responsibility for the entire release cycle from initial analysis and resource planning, through testing, roll-out and support in the development of applications.
  • Business analysis & requirements gathering experience for strategic & tactical developments.
  • Team management with one direct report and one indirect report.
  • Input & direction given for determining yearly, key deliverables for GCT IT.
  • Reduction of 'Run The Bank' costs of over 10% in 2009 through the implementation of stricter change controls, structured UAT and post-release testing.
